Ana Folhadela was born on the 3rd July 1974 in Oporto, Portugal. Studied Law in Oporto's Catholic University. During university, worked as a Justice Officer. After she worked as a Substitute Public Prosecuter and as Technitian in Child Protection Services. In 2015 she finished her Master degre in Law with the thesis «The concept of violence in the rape crime and the problem of dissent». In 2014 she was awarded the «Teresa Rosmaninho Human Rights Women's Rights" Prize, 2nd Edition, by the Portuguese Association of Women Lawyers, for the study entitled «The discriminatory nature of the requirement of other forms of violence other than acting with the victim's dissent in order to fulfill the rape crime».
