My First Reading Book by Amber Richards

Educational ebook to help children learn to read

My first reading book

My First Reading Book is a tool to help teach beginner readers how to read. It is a good next step for children who have just mastered the alphabet and sounds of each letter. Intentionally, there are no pictures in this e-book, instead the focus is upon the words themselves, to keep distractions to a minimum.

It starts with some 3 letter words, then moves on to 4 and then 5 letter words, then finishes by using most of the words in short, complete sentences. It's perfect for helping them to 'sound out' words and learn by memorization a few very common simple words that used frequently in the English language.

Watch how proud children will be at mastering a new skill, reading!

Sales info:

Currently only available in English ebook, but plan to make it available as a print book.  I sell on average 5 - 25 per month.

This one is the most complex project I have for putting together, as each word needs to be translated, then I'll make a jpeg file out it to be inserted into a word doc.

Sample text:

This e-book is intentionally void of pictures (except the one above).  It was written to be a tool to help teach very young readers how to read, and the focus is upon the words themselves, with nothing else distracting them.

It starts with some 3 letter words, then moves on to 4 and 5 letter words, then finishes by using some of the words in short, complete sentences. It's perfect for helping them to 'sound out' words and learn by memorization a couple very common simple words used frequently.

So often children will just memorize the words associated with a picture, instead of learning to read the actual word.  Rhyming words in this book were mixed up intentionally as well, to make it a bit more challenging.

I was inspired to write this because I am currently trying to teach a 2 year old how to read.  He has mastered the alphabet, lower and upper case and knows them all phonetically as well (he loves learning).  The next logical step is teaching him to read.  I found it difficult to find simple word books without any pictures to use as a crutch.  I wrote this as a tool to help me teach him, and realized there may be many others looking for the same solution.

Thank you so much for downloading this e-book, I hope you find it useful for your young reader.
