A technical translator with a passion for languages and linguistics

 

I started as a part-time freelance translator in 1987, in addition to teaching English. Afterward, I decided to dedicate my professional life to full-time translation and began to specialize in several technical fields, first of all, software localization.

Additional information

During my spare time, I like compiling glossaries, writing articles about translation in general, Linguistics, and the freelance translator world, and participating in translation competitions. Some of my articles can be read on the IOL and ITI bulletins and some online translation portals; more info and updates on my ongoing activity at www.antotranslation.com.

I also published an e-book guide for freelance translators ('Guida per il traduttore freelance') and more articles are in preparation. My last two articles for freelance translators were published in the ITI Bulletin in the February and September 2012 issues.

I have just completed a translation and adaptation for the Italian readership of a book from English into Italian about Latin. The book has been published by my publishing house Ediciones Baleares (http://www.antotranslation.com/?p=1460) in September 2015.
