Literary translator with 15 years of experience from Italian and French into English.

My multicultural upbringing has forged my carreer as a freelance translator. Born in Belgium, raised and educated in the US and transferred to Italy for personal reasons, I have learned to master the art of translation in college and currently apply it in my daily life. I do not believe in literal translations as they often do not make sense. Certain expressions may only be used in a specific place and must be readapted to the public you are targeting. This is why I strive on "interpreting" ideas, texts and concepts to make sure they flow and make sense in the target language: as if they'd been written by an English speaking author and not merely translated.

I have worked on many literary works in the past, some have my name on them and others do not. However, the authors I have had the pleasure to help out, whether directly or indirectly, have always been extremely pleased and satisfied with the final results I provided. I am a hard working individual who devotes all of her efforts, concentration and linguistic skills to the creation of a final quality product: something both the authors and I can be proud of and truly call a work of art.
