Hi there, I'm English but have been living in Brazil since 1994. I graduated in French and Hispanic Studies in 1994 and my course involved a lot of interpretation and translating into and out of the three languages. I have translated and revised many articles for academic journals over the years but my real desire was to move into translating books. I have now translated nine books and enjoying the experience very much.

Author review: Rachel did a great job, especially considering how many double meaning words and puns were on it! She also coped with my selfish desire of having simultaneously British and American English being used... The only drawback is that sometimes there were some typos; sometimes in translated words, sometimes the name of a character. So I recommend reading through the translated text. Other than that, excellent job! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rachel fez um trabalho maravilhoso, especialmente se considerar o tanto de trocadilhos e palavras de duplo sentido que o texto tinha! E ela ainda foi super cooperativa com o meu pedido arbitrário de usar tanto o inglês britânico quanto o americano ao mesmo tempo... O único revés foi que, às vezes, apareciam alguns erros de digitação, ora em palavras traduzidas, ora no nome das personagens. Recomendo uma leitura atenta do texto traduzido. Fora isso, excelente trabalho! |
