My name is Paula Hendrayani, from origin Dutch. Since 1995 living in Bali Indonesia. My hobby is writing and translating. Deepak Menon asks me to translate his book , Tales of the Booga Dooga Land - Pickwick's Plan. I hope I can help him.

My name is Paula Hendrayani. I was born in the southern part of the Netherlands. By profession I’am a dokter. I studied from 1984-1992 at the University of Groningen. During my studies I was interested in medical research. With some study friends I founded a research dispute, where young researchers could present their work. The Watson dispute, still exists, members have published numerous articles in medical journals.

During my first visit to the country under the rainbow Indonesia I met my current husband. We married in 1992 and lived for several years in the Netherlands. I worked in various hospitals until we in 1995 decided to emigrate to Indonesia. We got three healthy sons. In addition to their activities at school, they train as professional athletes and take part in many competitions. Besides the many daily activities I have, like running a restaurant in the harbour of Singaraja and my commitment to the fight against malaria (especially on Sumba Island), I put myself in for the underprivileged children here on the island Bali (see www. anakpertiwi.com).

Writing and translating is a hobby of mine. I wrote 'We leven in Bali' (We live in Bali) in 2009, a book about our life on the island of the gods Bali. When Deepak Menon through a friend of mine asked me as a translator for his book "Tales of the Booga-Dooga - Pickwick's Plan”, I just couldn’t say NO. I just would love to help him.
