Ever since I was aware of translating as a worldwide connecting tool, I have been committed to acquiring diverse languages, but specially to understanding how translation is involved in the process of teaching-learning languages. My passion has been precisely focused on English – Spanish translation.
My background includes teaching English as foreign language to Spanish speakers between 9 and 18 years old. Most recently, I have been teaching Spanish to people from different countries through English. While teaching, I have found the importance of accurate translation, specifically in terms of equivalence. Into “equivalences” is where my political life statement stands mainly because it has the power of decolonizing through exchanging cultural experiences.
