I'm a Spanish woman who fell in love with English through songs and with Japanese thanks to anime series and J-dramas.
6 years ago I got my English C1 certificate and since then I've been learning Japanese. Now, after getting my N4 last year, I'm decided to get N3 next year and maybe keep learning and get the N2 later.
My translation career started in 2016 with the launch of 'Stardew Valley' a videogame that was only located in English and I wanted more people to enjoy it. So I found a group of people who wanted the same and leaded it with some more language lovers. We were close to fully translated it when, almost a year later, the creator of the game announced an official translation. After that I briefly joined the group "Cervanteso" which was also unnofficially translating 'The Elder Scrolls Online'. Two years ago, while I was studying Japanese, found out the app 'Renshuu' that was really helpful for learning and it had an official, but volunteer, translation. So I joined it on and off for some month translating around 750 code lines and verifing close to other 190.
Now, after thinking about my future, I just see myself but translating and getting people around the world closer to the works and content they can't understand due to the language barrier.
