Hi, my name is Katie and I'm an avid reader.

I was born in Sheffield in England. My parents moved both myself and my brother to France when we were 5 & 6 so we spent all of our school years and childhood in the French countryside helping out our neighbours to do the harvest and taking the goats out to the fields.

I hold a BA open degree in languages and international trade.

I work as an International trade co-ordinator for a manufacturing company. As part of my job I do the translations for the company brochure, product sheets and website.

I moved back to Sheffield in 2003 where I now live with my husband,our baby son Reuben & our old cocker spaniel.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog, reading and trying new food! My husband is a chef so I like to test the goods.

I would like to get into a bit more translating as I really enjoy reading and so I could incorporate reading with translating. Although my mother tongue is English, I consider my French as good as, if not better than my English having done most of my studying in France.
