I have a degree in Translation and Interpretation since 2006. In that year I moved to Germany, in order to improve my German skills and to live in this country to really know the culture, which is a very important part of a language. In Cologne (Germany), where I lived for 6 years I first worked as a freelancer in the field of language teaching, interpreting, translating and proofreading. Actually I got more jobs to interpret from English to Spanish, than any other language combination. This fact helped me to keep my English skills active and improving. From 2011 to 2014 I worked full time in a company as a translator, where the texts where mainly about ID and software. After three years of experience in this company I realized, I want to translate other kind of texts that I am interested in, so that the motivation and the interest contribute in the quality of the translation. In the last month, back in Spain, I have focused in teaching languages (English and German), and translating and interpreting in fields that I consider more interesting.
I have always heard, it is very dificult to enter in the world of the book and literature translation, but then I discover "Babelcube" and I thought this could be a good beginning. In addition to this, I am interested in studying any course that specialized me in this translation field, and I have also been writing directly to publishing companies offering me as a translator into Spanish and Catalan.
My personal interests are related to spirituality, health, yoga, naturopathy and healing therapies, filosophy, novels, renewable energy, cooking and nutrition, education, and others.
I would love to have the opportunity of translating a book, just to proove my skills and to make this experience, which is the dream of almost every translator.
