I'm Elena, a freelance translator and a passionate traveler. I'm here to join forces with authors from around the world and spread the fruits of their labor to the world!

I am currently working as a project officer assistant and youth worker, but my hobby is translating. 

I graduated 2 cycles of university, studying International Relations/Transatlantic Studies. As my field pertains to social sciences, I am interested in a bit of everything: psychology, phylosophy, history, international political affairs, literature, culture, languages. During my student years I volunteered for several nongovernmental organisations, dealing with human rghts, migration, education. I also took a teaching module in history/civic education.

My hobby is studying foreign languages - it is an unlimited source of joy and satisfaction for me (especially lately that I took up on figuring out what Japanese is all about!). Ever since high-school, where I had to deal with four languages on a daily basis, I knew my interest in conquering new languages and cultures would never cease.

As a freelance translator, I collaborate with 'Alpha Educational Center' from Bucharest for Russian/Romanian/English/Italian translations (http://alpha-educational.ro/).

I am grateful for being born in a multicultural society that encouraged the development of intercultural skills and the passion for reading. Today I would like to apply these skills by lending a hand in translations and help good works reach as many people as possible.
