I am an Anglo-Canadian born in Germany and educated in French. As the child of a Canadian military man and a German woman my early life was spent living in different places, communicating in different languages. As I hadn't really the opportunity to make long-lasting friendships at the time I became an avid reader of all kinds of fiction. Most genres are not off limits for me. Though I like to write my own stories, I have always been happier sharing the stories of others with the people close to me, yet as a teenager I lived in an area that was quite monolingual. It was then that I decided to embark on a career of literary translation. I earned a university degree in translation.
