This is an ideal first short chapter book for girls and boys aged from 5 to 9. It is funny and shows that the good guys win in the end. Your child will love this story.
Bobby has a special friend. Don't tell anyone, but it is a monster! His name is Boris and he is red and furry with two golden horns. Boris helps Bobby when he has bad dreams.
In Book 1, Boris goes to school with Bobby. He doesn't like the way Jack the Bully treats his friend Bobby. Jack doesn't know that Boris is setting him up for embarrassment.
Book 2...Felix - the Naughty Monster! is out now.
About The Author:
Kaz Campbell loves writing stories for children. Her husband, Bill Campbell wrote Diary of an Almost Cool Girl, an instant Best Seller. Mr TDH (Tall, Dark and Handsome) is one of the characters in his book. Kaz felt that he needed a voice too, how did he feel about Maddi, what was happening in his life....and so, Diary of Mr TDH was born.
She has also written a series of books for children aged between 4 and 8 called My Monster. Book 1, Boris to the Rescue introduces the wonderful characters and Book 2 brings Felix the Naughty Monster into the story. Read the reviews on these books, both children and parents LOVE them!
Kaz has also co-written a series of Parenting Books with Katrina Kahler. Topics include Confident Kids, How to Improve Your Child's Behavior Today, Communicating with Kids, How to Win Friends and Influence People for Kids, Smart Baby, Achieving Success at School and The Puberty Bomb. She taught for many years and has two teenage children, so she knows how kids tick. Both ladies are Parenting experts and have developed a website called How To Help Children.
Genre: JUVENILE FICTION / Social Issues / Self-Esteem & Self-RelianceThe English Version of My Monster Book 1 is permafree on Amazon, itunes and google play. I've checked with Amazon and the tranlated version can be sold for money on Amazon. Book 2 - My Monster - Felix The Naughty Monster is out now and Book 3 is almost finished. The idea is to have a series of books where the story can continue.

I jumped up in bed, the little red monster was just above my head. It had a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. I felt sure it was going to slice my head off!
“Settle down Bobby, I’m here to help you, no need to scream…Boris to the rescue!” he said as he jumped down to the floor.
Suddenly the bed tilted and started to lift as the dragon roared and charged towards the little red monster. Fire poured from the dragon’s mouth and nostrils. I felt for sure that the monster was toast. But the monster showed that he was tougher than a slice of bread and deflected the fire with his shield.
“Charge!” screamed the red monster as he ran flat out with the sword pointed straight at the dragon’s snout. The dragon swished its tail and knocked the sword flying.
The monster and the dragon wrestled on the floor, they rolled across the room and the dragon hit the wall with a thud. While the dragon was dazed, the monster picked up his sword and with one swift slice he cut the dragon’s head off.
Then he picked up the head and threw it out the window. The rest of the body turned to smoke and blew swiftly outside.
The little red monster was a hero. He had saved me from the dragon.
“Did you kill the dragon?” I asked.
The monster smiled, “No Bobby, it’s not dead I’ve just sent it back to Dream Land and it won’t ever come back again.”
“Who, I mean, what are you?” I asked the monster.
“My name is Boris and I just saved you from a dragon dream, you can thank me if you want…” he said with a huge smile on his face.
“Ahh..thank you Boris, but you haven’t answered my question, what are you?” I asked again.
