Because the main focus is for pet owners, we purposely have not gone into the topic of breeding rabbits, as that really is an entire book of its own, and most pet owners do not breed their rabbits.

I had a rabbit as a child and loved him dearly. I remember bringing him into our home and he played with our huge German Shepard dog and Manx cat famously. He would actually snuggle and sleep with the dog at times.
When I was an adult, I decided to get my children into 4H with a rabbit. Long story short, they lost interest and mine grew! I then discovered the little niche of adult rabbit breeders and rabbit shows and was hooked. I raised Mini rex rabbits for several years and took some wins with my rabbits at national level competitions. The breeds listed in this book are recognized breeds from the American Rabbit Association, although there are other breeds out there as well.
I also judged a county fair 4H rabbit show and helped many 4H children with their rabbits.
