Greek poet Konstantinos Bouras and Japanese poetess Maki Starfield had a dialogue on "Enlightement" written in Japanese, English and Greek.
Enlightenment is a sudden, permanent awakening to the absolute unity of all beingsIn a sense we are already enlightened; we are already there. "Enlightenment is really just a deep, basic trust in yourself and your life,"
Through their poems, you can ask yourself, 'Who am I?' forever, and the same goes for 'What is enlightenment?' The question is the teaching, and just asking it can bring on transformation."
In our poetry associates in Kyoto, we would like to publish international poetry which possesses the noble and thoughtful quality needed for rising step by step from the earthly web of joys and sorrows to heaven. The duet series are one of our project to present poems aspiring the universal, written for people all over the world.
A golden rose
Lonely feelings come about
My eyes follow
Your face—
To be honest, you no longer are
The reflection in my mind
It flows to the loneliness that falls like rain,
I cannot hear your voice
The golden roses blooming in vision bloom in bloom
