Freelance journalist and author Zalman S. Davis is the founder of The Croyez Literary Award for fiction and the Ingrid Jonker: L’ Art Poétique Poetry Prize.
He freelanced for a few esteemed publications throughout South Africa before becoming a full-time author, writing crime novels based on court cases and conflicts in South Africa, and other countries.
He was nominated for The Henreaders Award for Fiction in 2018 for A Gathering Storm before landing a fulltime employment at THR. He also reached LitNet’s Top 15 in their 2018 poetry competition.
He is the author of six books: three volumes of Afrikaans poetry, one teen fiction, one crime novella, and one full-length novel.
They are Halfgees, Swartwater, Doodspoor, Steal My Heart, The Mystery of the White Rose Serial Killer and A Gathering Storm.
His works have been translated into Afrikaans.
