I'm a Journalist with more than seven years experience in Translation and Spanish Proofreading. I usually translate documents from English, Portuguese, French and Italian into Spanish and I've also translated a few small books, one of them is about to be published by IIPH in the near future "Stories of the Prophets" by Ibn Katheer. I have also experience as a children's tales translator.
With Babelcube I have had the opportunity to work, so far, in six projects that I've enjoyed a lot.
As a translator, I offer high quality standards to the authors. I do not engage in projects with "dirty stories" that may promote moral values or attitudes that are against islamic belief. I think it is very important to choose carefully the books I am going to help to spread among Spanish readers and I think this is also something good for the authors because it gives you an idea of my compromise with the work I'm engaging. Besides, I am a very conscientious worker so I never sent a job without having check it carefully less than three times.
As a journalist I am a passionate of reading and learning about different fields and I have this curiosity also in my translating and proofreading works. History, Islam, Law, Linguistics, Foreign Affairs, Education, Children and Human Rights are only some of the areas in which I am more interested and those in which my proofreader work has been focused so far.
My knowledge of different languages and my concerns about Spanish language make me a nice translator to be selected, as I always try my best in every work I make. Reading and correcting several times until I have the precise word to keep the sense of the original text.
This opportunity is really exciting for me and I'm looking forward to share it with the authors.
PS. Taking into account that the earnings are not the main reason why we engage in this project, I would highly appreciate the authors that give the translators a paperback copy of their books to work on them and if he also gives us a free copy of the translated book that would be fantastic!!! The time and effort we dedicate to this projects would be, this way, appreciate. Thank you very much!!!!
