I have been translating been translating both in-house and as a freelancer for a over 20 years now. I am also a certified paralegal and I translate financial and legal documents. I enjoy this but also like it when I get a chance to translate something a little more creative. I have had comments from clients saying that they appreciate the fact that my translations are more "free" because I always focus on the meaning rather than sticking to very literal translations that might not sound natural in English.
