I believe that my cosmopolitan experiences, gained through travels, as well as being bilingual, and fluent in 5 languages, are the most relevant aspects of my personal profile.
Born in Cape Verde, I soon moved to Italy as a daughter of diplomat and grew up in a multilingual environment although immediately integrated in the Italian school system.
Portuguese is my maternal language, however Italian is my first language, the one in which I learned the abc.
My natural tendency to empathize when I come into contact with new people and cultures allows me to keep learning new languages with relative ease of pronunciation. Learning German is a recent example of what last stated.
I'm convinced that my profile, competences and potential meet all the requirements for this type of career.
Communication is an area with which I've always had contact, also by teaching different languages either to Italian, Brazilian or Chinese speaking learners. I firmly believe that translations benefit of the open-mindedness that allows multicultural interactions.
Albeit not consecutively, I've had experiences in the field for years, as well as one as interpreter for a book presentation for an Italian audience.
I definitely consider it to be a position of responsibility and always guide my job under this criteria.
Writing, poetry especially, is one of my prefered hobbies and for this reason I consider myself having the sensibility and perceptiveness required for this specific kind of job.
About me people say that I am a kind person, who puts all her energy, enthusiasm and professionalism in whatever she does seeking the best results. Those are very positive impressions, the ones I believe might be the ideal overall contribution to my work.
I got used to hear how good my impact on people is and I still can't ever find the right response, the truth is that I always felt repaid just by doing a good job, and that's what ultimately makes me happy.
