I am an award-winning writer whose fiction, comics, essays, and podcasts have been published around the world. I’ve written official Star Trek and Doctor Who fiction, as well as Batman and Justice Society comics for DC Comics. Mike Resnick, a science fiction and fantasy author who has won more awards in the field than anyone, calls me “a towering talent.” Adrian Phoenix, critically-acclaimed author of The Maker’s Song and Hoodoo series, says, “Robert Jeschonek is the literary love child of Tim Burton and Neil Gaiman. His fiction is cutting edge, original, and pulsing with dark and fantastical life." My young adult slipstream novel, My Favorite Band Does Not Exist, won the Forward National Literature Award and was named one of Booklist's Top Ten First Novels for Youth. My science fiction thriller, Day 9, is an International Book Award winner, and I won the Scribe Award for Best Original Novel for my alternate history, Tannhäuser: Rising Sun, Falling Shadows. I am a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Some of my biggest successes have come recently, with my histories of beloved old local department stores: Long Live Glosser’s and Penn Traffic Forever. I have always thought globally, however, and been inspired by my extensive travels in Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and elsewhere. My dream is to bring my books and stories to readers all over the world in the languages they know best.
