Literary Translation and Comics Translation (EN/DE>ES), with a background in science and technology.
My first steps in the industry were pro bono (general translation; speeches and leaflets mostly). Then came the press releases and cover letters for Underbrain Books (ES>DE), and two novels for Babelcube (EN>ES) —"Pelando Naranjas", and "El conocimiento de las mujeres", both by Irish author James Lawless. After my first technical translation (ES>EN) for Insomner, I went back to doing pro bono work for amara.org to train in subtitling.
As a content creator I have written an ESP teaching module for Grupo Vértice and their e-learning platform. As a linguist, my main interests are Computational Linguistics, Dialectology, and Semantics. This motivates me to keep working on my German, and learn other languages.
