Hello!
My name is Paula Ledo, I was born and raised in Brazil (so I'm a Portuguese native speaker) and I'm 31 years old.
When I was a little kid, I fell in love with books. Perhaps I was a little bit influenced by my mom, and since then, reading is something that I like. And languages as well. When I was a teenager, I translated every single piece of music I liked. And that was how I learned basic English. Then, years later, I did an English course to enhance what I already knew. Also, I studied Spanish during High School, and now I'm finishing my bachelor's in Portuguese and Russian Language and Literature at a top-ranked Brazilian University - the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
From 2017 to 2019, I was a Russian teacher in a low-cost course at the university, and an English > Portuguese translator in a Brazilian company (2 years internship). I've translated over 558 thousand words (from certificates, abstracts, and manuals to legal and personal documents).
At the moment, I'm a proofreader at GP Strategies. I proofread technical training materials.
Now I'm ready to take the next step: I want to work on my own, make new clients and friends, and I want to help you get your books translated!
