I graduated from the Ohio State University in 2009 with two Bachelor's degrees - one in Japanese and one in International Relations and Diplomacy. I have studied Japanese through the Master's degree level at OSU, thus having 6 years of formal study and was the Grand Prize winner of the JASCO Japanese Language Speech Contest in 2008. I also had a 3-month internship as a Japanese to English translator for Mondokio International News in 2009 and was an English tutor to Japanese schoolchildren and adults alike from 2005-2009.
After a few years working in Risk Analysis for a multi-national bank, I obtained a Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language through the Coventry House International. Soon thereafter, I started a blog - www.myrainbowhearts.com - and a Japanese song lyrics translation site - www.sugoi-lyrics.com. I am an avid consumer of Japanese media and would love to be able to help make more available to the non-Japanese speaking world.
