I am from Caracas, Venezuela, and I am 57 years old. Since I was a boy I have loved English and it has always been the easiest subject for me to learn and teach. I am also a Grammar, Spelling and Literature English teacher both in a bilingual school and on my own. Besides being an English teacher, I am an Electronic Engineer and because of that I have worked as a consultant in different technical areas (telecommunications, informatics, regulations, among others) and inside international organizations such as OAS and ITU. I am also skilled in Quality Management and ISO9001 standards. I have done translations activities but not as a full time job until now because of other working duties, as I have already mentioned. When I was a teenager, I remember doing a translation work for my own satisfaction, and it was related to Bruce Lee, one of my childhood heroes. I made that, finished it and designed a book with photographs and put all my translated histories into a Bruce Lee's biography in Spanish (sources were taken from martial art American magazines that my brother used to buy). Then, I sold copies of my book to my classmates at school. I was around 13-14 years of age. After that, I started working on translations from magazine articles about rock music and artists. By doing that I realized that I was able to easily translate texts from English to Spanish in almost any topic, and then I began to get serious about learning the grammar structures in English. Then I became an English teacher in an English Academy in my country while I kept working in my standard technical knowledge area. Presently, however, I am 100% focused in teaching and learning English in a bilingual school and getting into translation activities as a daily routine in my life.
