My name is Maria Luiza Nery, I am a 23 years old brazilian freelance translator. I just graduated in Translation Studies (French and Italian) at UNESP. Since I was 5, my mom put me to study other languages: English (as you may have noticed) was the first one. Then came Spanish and French. At the University, I learned Italian properly (my bisnonni and trisnonni might be proud of that) and a bit of Chinese language, on which skills I'm still working. On my Senior year (UNESP), I translated the first five chapters of a French book for my therm paper (no, it was not for profiting, selling or publishing, only my French Literature teacher saw it).
I am excited to work with new authors and help to spread knowledge and amazing stories over the world. Yes, I hope to make money out of my language skills, but that is not my actual ultimate dream, just the path I chose to achieve it.
