Literary translator and cultural journalist

Hello! I'm a Colombian journalist who decided to change the career pathway after working in a TV cultural channel for 8 years. In those days, I was always learning languages and travelling to USA and France on my holidays. I also awarded two scholarships to study documentary and TV production from the South Korean and French governments. Those experiences were fundamental to strengthen my knowledge in English and French and my interest in working with foreign languages.

Later, I had the chance to work as assistant with two (French and English) official translators. I translated texts from many fields and I felt that the only thing that I wanted to do professionally was to translate. Because of that, I decided to study this profession and came to Barcelona to do a postgraduate course in Literary Translation and some other small courses in the same field.  

I have been studying and doing volunteer translations having the conviction that I have so much to give as a translator, a deep desire to develop my career, the experience of a curious journalist and the higher motivation to be successful.
