Being born and raised in a Mexican town close to the border, speaking English and Spanish for me was natural from a young age.
I have always been an avid reader in both languages and one of my hobbies as a teenager was translating the books I read in English for my friends to read in Spanish and I just loved it.
I got a degree in Organizational Communications for the same reason I love translating: I enjoy being a bridge between two minds, it is almost natural to me taking the message from the speaker and making it understandable for the audience without losing its original soul.
This skill has been of great use to me in every field I have worked in, either in human resources, customer service, copywriting or translating.
Nowadays, while working as a copywriter, I am willing to follow my teenager dreams and go back to translating books, this time in a professional way.
