I write in Russian and I live in Belgium for 20 years. That is why the things in my stories happens in Belgium and France. I write classical detective stories with well-defined plot formula that consists of: mystery (mostly murder), arriving of detective, investigation, resolving of mysterious affair, final explanations. The reader have all the keys to put together the pieces of the puzzle, I do not come round and give him or her all the details.
For now, I have written and published ten short stories under the same cover in Russian here: https://www.litres.ru/uliya-sannikova/rassledovaniya-oficialnye-i-ne-ochen/ On the page there are some comments and notes from readers. I would like to selfpublish it also in Russian on Amazon. Working on it.
In the stories, there are two main characters. Chief-inspector Laura Klep. She works in Liege criminal police and have two agents under command - Hugues Dagle and Fauna Martin. And Jean Pickard, who run his own show on the French TV - "Judicatory". There he tells about the most sensational crime affairs, and meanwhile he makes investigations when somebody (mostly friends or ex-colleagues) ask him.
For now, I've mostly finished a novel with Laura Klep as a title role, investigating the death of a 14-years old adolescent that obviously was poisoned with cyanide. The affair happens in Belgian province, which dare to hope I know good enough, been leaving there for a long period.
In the future, I would like to continue the series both with Klep and Pickard.
My role-models (if it is correct to say so) are Agatha Christie (I've read and analyze almost all her texts, her method, composition, intrigue-building strategies), Conan Doyle, Edgar Alan Poe, Guy de Mopassant, Anton Chekhov.
My strong points are the good literal style (I continuously educate and train myself in philology) and fair play with reader.
