Helping to broaden horizons - one translation at a time.

Hi, I'm Jeff - born and raised in the USA, but living in SE Asia for nearly a decade.  Two of my greatest passions in life are foreign languages and books.  During the course of my language studies, I have been fortunate enough to learn French to an advanced level and German to a near-native level.  One thing I've noticed through my travels is that people have a lot of interesting things to tell - things that you can only hear if you know their language...until now.  It is my goal to bring some of these fascinating stories to the English-speaking world and help connect the world a bit more.

I do translations from German into English and hold a B.A. from Marquette University in German Language and Literature.  Furthermore, I completed level 10/10 at a summer immersion program in Germany, certified for C1 level on the European Framework of languages.

My work history is diverse - I've cleared tables, cleaned toilets, washed dishes, taught in schools, written for a health-based website, written on all sorts of topics, translated legal documents, volunteered, etc.  

 

Now, I'm a husband and a father who wants to bring the magic of human experience to the world through translation, just as I will do for my own daughter.
