I am an Italian writer who loves to write both in English and Italian. I also translate fiction and non fiction writing from English to Italian.

I am Irene Aprile, and I’m a writer. I have been writing since I was a child and writing is a big part of my life. I’m a chemist too, with a degree in Clinical, Forensic and Doping Chemistry, that’s why I work in a laboratory. So who am I? I’m someone with a job I love and a strong passion for writing that fills every other moment.

Since I developed a passion for English in the past years, I started to do translation jobs, and now I mostly translate fiction writing. I love stories so much that it's a pleasure more than a job.

I usually work this way: I do a first draft of the translation, in order to have a clear idea of the general meaning of each sentence, then I edit the first draft to adjust grammar and form, so that the reading flows smoothly to Italian ears, and then I recheck it for typos and other mistakes.

This may take a little longer than other translators but assures a quality product in the end.
