My name is Giulia Ciaramita and I am 23. I graduated in Languages and Literatures (my mark is 110/110) in 2016 and now I am attending the University of Torino Translation course. I study English and French. In this course we translate from English to Italian (and vice versa) and from French to Italian (and vice versa). We translate different kinds of texts such us touristic text, literary texts etc. We also experience the possibility to produce subtitles for different kinds of videos.
I took part into the Erasmus Program and therefore I studied for two terms in England (Bristol) and for one term in France (Orléans). At the University of Bristol I attended Italian-English translation courses and a course about interpreting from English to French and from French to English. There I had also the occasion to be a writer and an editor for the newspaper of the department of Italian (La Civetta). At the University of Orléans I attended different courses about English, American and French literature. I attended “version and theme” courses in which I had to translate from French to English and vice versa.
