My name’s is Floriane. I was born in 1968 in a small corner of France and I have been working as a professional freelance translator since 2008. I specialize in the Literary/General fields.
I have had a passion for languages for more than 30 years. I am in love with linguistics but with words, sentences, atmospheres as well. I, too, am a writer in my spare time and when the inspiration comes to my mind. I have written a small book of poetry (in French), which was published in 2015. Its title is “La nature est un joyau”. These poems are all about nature, as nature is another passion of mine.
I studied English and German Linguistics and Civilizations when I was a student. This was a clear choice as I wanted to work with languages and words and I wanted to know more about their home countries as well and most of all, because I wanted a career that would allow me to translate all kinds of books, from novels and travel guides to children’s’ stories or craft books and so much more.
I am a hard-working and serious translator, the people I usually and regularly work with can confirm it. It is a matter of reputation and confidence, the confidence that I get from the clients.
