During my bachelor's degree I took courses in Arabic and English on translation and linguistics, then moved to London for a year and worked as a bilingual croupier in an online casino.
Three years ago, I started a master’s degree at Contemporary Arabic Studies where all courses were taught in Arabic, and during these months I also learned a little Spanish. Two years ago, before my thesis, I worked as a volunteer teacher of Italian and English in Nablus, West Bank. In December 2018, I finished my studies and started working as a customer service representative at Louis Vuitton, a job that allowed me to speak to international customers in different languages.
I took advantage of the lockdown here in Italy by obtaining a European Informatics Passport and an SDL Trados certificate, then I started looking for a job as a translator.
I currently volunteer as a translator at Translation Commons and TED Translator, and I have also translated with Memsource and Smartcat. In addition, I recently obtained MTPE certification and attended a localization course at Leeds University.
As you can see, my passion for languages and translation has guided me throughout my career and my studies so far. I believe my dedication, experience, and endless will to improve would serve you well.
I would be happy to learn more about your specific goals and needs and to let you know what I can offer you.
