Cindy Castro is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Science at the University of Houston, in Houston, TX. Born and raised in Mexico until the age of 16, Cindy has been living in the state of Texas for the past 11 years. Two years after emigrating from Mexico, she was already involved in translating projects with online magazine Latinitas, as well as the University of Texas at El Paso. At the age of 19, Cindy decided to join the United States Air Force, where she performed translating and interpreting services on top of her official duties. Currently, Cindy is not only a student but a Certified Pharmacy Technician. She performs translations as well as interpretations from English to Spanish and vice versa on the daily basis, to accommodate the needs of the whide variety of Hispanic consumers in the Houston area.
