My name is Bhumika Chawla-D'Souza and I am a professional freelance translator based in Bangalore. I offer translation and proofreading/editing services from German into English/Hindi as well as from English into Hindi and vice versa (bilingual, native-level proficiency).
I have been in the translation profession for almost 20 years now. For close to 4 years I worked at the renowned automotive company Robert Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions and acquired specific domain experience in SAP and software-related translations.
In 2009, I started freelancing. Texts from across domains such as IT, general legal, general business and finance, web content, etc. have come my way, and I have delivered my best in each one of them.
But in my heart of hearts, I crave to do something more creative, more challenging: a translation project that get one's juices flowing.
I'm fortunate to have been a part of a few book translation projects:

- "Angor", a collection of poems by adivasi poetess Jacinta Kerketta (Hindi to EN)

- "The Beauty of the Mountain" by Friedrich Grohe (EN to Hindi)
- "Horrible Stories My Dad Told Me" by David Downie (EN to Hindi)
- "David and Jacko - The Ant God" by David Downie (EN to Hindi)
