Learning languages has been a passion in my life. It started months before I was born, because my father only spoke in Esperanto with unborn-me.
Then, I was born, and learned Portuguese, which is my native language.
I have been studying English since the year 2000.
I started working on small translations in 2008, translating comic books for a friend. Then, in 2010, I started studying Languages (Portuguese and English, and Literatures in these languages) at the Federal University of Lavras (Brazil). There, I took part in projects related to Literature, studying several authors, both of Portuguese and English languages.
I graduated in 2014, with the highest grade of my class, being awarded an Academic Merit Award in my graduation ceremony.
I currently work as an English teacher in a project in the same university where I graduated. As a translator, I have done freelance jobs, working with both academic texts and literary texts.
(I have been studying other languages: Spanish, Italian, French, German, Russian, Turkish, and Greek. But I do not work as a translator of these languages, because my knowledge is very limited in most of them, and even in the ones I can communicate, I do not feel confident enough to work as a translator).
