I am a fully Spanish-English bilingual Spanish-born Canadian. I hold a B.A. in English literature from the University of Guelph in Canada. I have taken courses in translation, both in literary and specialized fields, at several institutions - Calamo & Cran (Madrid) and University of Granada (Spain).
I have done translation both in Spanish to English and English to Spanish for publications such as Elle, Vogue and "Muy Interesante" Magazines as well as for other outstanding cultural projects such as Standdart Magazine, as well as major translation work in several companies.
Literary translation is a great passion for me, and where I find myself most at ease. It is not merely a language switch. It is a contextualization and a bridge between cultures, transporting not only the language but also the idiosyncracy, historical culture and soul of its narrator. Thanks to my bilingual education and having lived in both countries, which has granted me a total comprehension of both the Hispanic and Anglosaxon cultures, I believe I have the necessary sensibility to carry out this fascinating task.

Me crié entre España y Canadá, y aunque nací en la tranquila ciudad de Valladolid tengo doble nacionalidad. Soy completamente bilingüe en inglés y castellano. Licenciada en Literatura Inglesa por la Universidad de Guelph, Canadá. He realizado cursos sobre traducción, tanto en el ámbito literario como en varias temáticas especializadas, en Cálamo & Cran (Madrid) y en la Universidad de Granada.
He realizado trabajos de traducción tanto del castellano al inglés y viceversa para publicaciones tales como Elle, Vogue y Muy Interesante, así como para otros proyectos culturales destacables como Standdart Magazine. MI historial incluye tareas de traducción para varias empresas.
La traducción literaria es, para mí, una gran pasión y el ámbito donde más a gusto me encuentro. No es meramente un cambio de idioma. Es una contextualización y un puente entre culturas, que transporta no sólo el lenguaje sino también la idiosincracia, la historia cultural y el alma del narrador. Gracias a mi educación bilingüe y a haber vivido en ambos países poseo una gran comprensión de la cultura anglosajona y la hispanohablante, y cuento con la sensibilidad necesaria para realizar esta apasionante tarea.
Siempre estoy dispuesta a aceptar la oportunidad de transportar un trabajo literario más allá de sus fronteras lingüísticas.
