The genesis of this book, "United States of America: A Handbook Historical Events and Leading Issues," traces back to a simple yet profound request from one of my students. She sought my guidance in crafting proper answers for her history paper on the United States. This request initiated my journey of compiling material I had gathered over the years, supplemented with extensive research using Google and AI tools. What started as a modest effort to help a single student soon evolved into a detailed exploration, covering not only significant historical events but also the leading issues that spark debates and controversies in the USA.

The invaluable assistance of AI, particularly ChatGPT, played a crucial role in this transformation. With its help, a short paper burgeoned into a manuscript of nearly 60,000 words. Recognizing the potential to provide a concise yet informative resource on the history and contemporary challenges of the United States, I decided to convert it into an eBook. I hope future editions of this book will offer even greater insight and depth, exploring the pivotal events, transformative movements, and enduring debates that have shaped the nation's identity and trajectory over the centuries.

This book is dedicated to my student, Arbish, whose curiosity and inquiry sparked its creation. I also extend my gratitude to all the students who supported me in this endeavour.
