In university Volo Noscere, located in Rome, where new academic year brings forth alot of new challenges and questions. When the world becomes increasingly unpredictable, are the humans reason for it all, or is there more to it?
Evyline and Lisanna believe there must be magic behind the changes. Tylon doesn't care about what doesn't affect him and RocTar just wants to make it through the year without failing class.
Like it or not, they get pulled into discovering what the world has in store for them.
There was some shuffling as if the dragon were moving around in the open chamber. “What is it that you seek, warrior.”
“An honest trade is all I wish,” he said.
It seemed to be going well so far and Lisanna started thinking that her fear of dragons was misled by different horror stories. Dylan shrugged when she looked at him puzzlement in her eyes.
“Well, that seems easier than I thought it would be,” she whispered when it sounded like the dragon was interested in the deal. Dylan put a finger on his mouth indicating her to shut up. It was too late.
"What was that?" The dragon roared. "You brought company? You treacherous honorless warrior!"
Suddenly the cave was hot with flames as the dragon spit out fire.
"Archer!!" Lisanna shouted, running to the end of the tunnel to see the giant red beast thrashing around in the midst of his treasures. Archer was on his knees just to the side of where the flames had melted golden goblets and coins into liquid. He had dodged the fire just in time, but the dragon wasn't finished yet.
"Come on girl, you can do it," she encouraged herself as she stared down the giant monster and felt the all familiar tingle in her fingertips. The dragon was about to blow another fireball, so she ran out into the open taking all his attention away from the Vampire. "Come on now, come on, come on…" and then she shifted mid-sentence into the golden dragon on the pages of the book she had been studying so hard. It was good timing, because the flames hit her right in the face a second later. It was hot. Very, very hot. But it was bearable. And when Red Fireball ran out of breath the golden dragon shook itself and let out a roar of its own.
"And I thought I needed to protect her," Dylan said next to Evyline. "Ronan should see this."
