In the dimly lit streets of Morrigan’s Rest, where the fog clung to the ground like a shroud, two souls danced on the edge of darkness. The city itself was a character, its crumbling buildings and flickering streetlights echoing the despair of its inhabitants. The air was thick with the scent of rain-soaked asphalt and the distant sounds of sirens, a constant reminder of the chaos that lurked just beneath the surface. Armand, a meticulous predator, prowled the alleys in search of his next victim—women who had long been discarded by society. His heart was a void, filled only with the thrill of the hunt.

Armand's childhood was a tapestry woven with threads of neglect and violence. Growing up in a broken home, he learned early on that love was a distant memory, overshadowed by his father's rage. The man was a tyrant, ruling their small apartment with an iron fist, teaching Armand that power came from fear. The echoes of his father’s shouts still haunted him, a constant reminder of the monster he had become. As a child, Armand learned to hide in the shadows, to observe and wait, and eventually, he became the very monster he had feared.

His first kill had been a revelation, a rite of passage that marked his descent into darkness. At just sixteen, he found himself in a dark alley, watching a woman who had fallen into the depths of despair. She was a prostitute, her face worn and weary, a reflection of the city’s decay. As he approached her, he felt an intoxicating rush of power, a feeling that surged through his veins like wildfire. The thrill of taking her life was unlike anything he had ever experienced. In that moment, he realized he could control the world around him, that he could become the master of his own fate. From then on, he embraced the darkness, honing his skills and reveling in the fear he instilled in others.
