Sample text:

Low carb diets are designed to speed the metabolism and enhance fat loss by eating foods that are high in protein while simultaneously limiting the intake of high carbohydrate foods, which raise the body’s blood sugar levels. The basis of the diet is the state of ketosis. Ketosis occurs when the body’s carbohydrate intake is measurably reduced and the body needs to turn to it’s secondary energy reserve in order to fuel the body. That secondary reserve is stored fat. When we consume a high carbohydrate meal, we increase the body’s production of insulin, a hormone that causes cells to absorb glucose from the blood. Insulin actually stops the body from using fat as a source of energy because it slows down the release of glucagon. At the same time it facilitates the conversion of consumed fat into triglycerides, which are stored as body fat.
