Justice Gray has done it again, with this new release that unfolds with its suspense and intertwined web of romance, lies, sex, crime, and a plethora of unusual events as they climax, and convey deep emotions, and erotic images. Gabbi loves her wine almost as much as she loves her men. But being the attention whore that she is, she couldn’t hang in there when her marriage needed mending, and instead ran to an old high school sweetheart, making up stories that her husband abused her so all would feel sorry for her. When friends would confront Gabbi with their disbelief of Travis’s abusiveness, she would say that he puts on a good act. Gabbi got what she wanted—for a while. However, shortly after she thinks she has everything she wants—karma comes back to haunt her, and we find her in the worst situation. Could it be a tragic ending for Gabbi and those involved…?
This is the second book in the series.
It has recently been produced as an audio book.
For the next week or two, Chris remained abusive. Gabbi was soon covered in bruises and black eyes. How ironic the turn of events was!
She was often forced into having sex with him, and doing anything else he wanted. If she told him no, it always resulted in a harsh slap, and if she messed anything up, broke a glass, or did anything to make him upset, she would end up defending herself from a beating. It had been two weeks since she had been with him officially; by officially, meaning in public, or a real date, as Chris called it, she thought, as she was making lunch. Chris was in the living room watching the sports channel as usual.
“Hey, babe, will you bring me a beer when you’re done?”
“Sure thing,” she moped.
She looked up from the counter, holding a plate of chicken wings and chips, in her other hand, a beer. She looked up to see a small book flying at her.
“Catch!” Chris joked around.
She raised her arms to stop the book from hitting her in the face, and in the process she dropped everything. The bottle and the plate shattered as it hit the ground.
“Damn it, Gabbi! Can’t you do anything?” he yelled.
She sighed and looked up at him with such hatred and malice, her eyes seemed to glow with the fiery passion of God’s wrath. She slowly stood up. Now was her chance to get rid of him. She had been contemplating this for some time, but didn’t seem to have the right opportunity. She was waiting for him to get really mean so she could kick him out. Afterall, it was her house, not his.
