WEDNESDAY
The day dawned bright and blue yet again, promising a perfect day for the boat trip. As agreed, Peter was at the house a little before 9 am to show them the way down to San Stefano where they were to meet Captain Yiannis on board his 30-foot motor yacht Nafsica.
As they drove, taking each bend with care, down towards the coast on a road that snaked its way through the olive groves, a picture-perfect bay was revealed between the trees, the sea gleaming and glinting in the horseshoe-shaped cove below.
‘My God, this place is stunning’ Scott exclaimed, gazing down at the bay. ‘I always thought the pictures I’d seen of Corfu were photoshopped but the colours are truly amazing.
Linda, who had decided to make a real effort today to join in, nodded and said ‘it is beautiful, thanks again Kate for organising all this.’ Scott, who sat next to her in the car, smiled gratefully and squeezed her hand.
