Evergreen Street seemed like the picture-perfect American neighborhood. It had charming homes with white picket fences and neighbors would say ‘good morning!’ to everyone they passed. But beneath its seemingly normal exterior, this friendly street held a mysterious secret.
When winter came and snow covered the ground, something special happened.
Every evening, families would hear someone singing outside. It was a beautiful voice that sang Christmas songs.
"Silent night, holy night..."
The notes were pure, tender, and held a haunting beauty. Residents would peek from behind curtains, trying to glimpse the singer, but all they saw was a shadowy figure, hidden by the falling snow, disappearing as mysteriously as they had come.
Nora, a retired schoolteacher who had lived on Evergreen Street for decades, was particularly intrigued and wanted to find out who the mysterious caroler was. After one particularly enchanting rendition of "Away in a Manger", Nora found herself sitting by her fireplace, sipping on a cup of tea, lost in memories.
