My name is RAFA LOMBARDINO and I have been working as a translator since 1997, having established my translation company in 2004, which five years later got incorporated and became Word Awareness, a network of professional translators.

I am certfiied by the American Translators Association (ATA) in English-to-Portuguese and Portuguese-to-English translations. I have also earned a Certificate in English/Spanish translations at the University of California, San Diego Extension, where today I teach classes to aspiring translators.

In addition to my technical translation work in Computers & Technology and Business Communications, I have been working on two literary projects aimed at bringing Brazilian literature to readers of English and Spanish. They are respectivelly called Contemporary Brazilian Short Stories and Cuentos Brasileños de la Actualidad.

Lastly, I also act as the Content Curator of eWordNews, a collective blog about literature and translation.
