I love reading and I love translating. Translating literary texts has always been my dream.

I am a qualified translator (Diploma Examination for Translators (English/Spanish), University of Mainz/Germersheim, Germany, 1982, and MA in Translation and Interpreting (English/German), Swansea University, Wales, 2013 as well as a qualified teacher (First and Second State Examinations for the Teaching of English and Spanish in Secondary Schools, 1988, Würzburg, Germany). I have been teaching Translation Classes (English-German, Spanish-German, from beginners to advanced level) at the Institute for Interpreters and Translators in Würzburg/Germany, for more than 25 years, focussing on journalistic, economic and medical texts. I love working with language and finding the best possible solution for translating a word, an idiom, a sentence or a text. As one of my tasks is marking translations, I am used to working with great attention to detail. My interests include history, psychology, travel, literature and philosophy.
