My name is Valber dos Santos, I am from Brazil and 32 years old. I started to develop my linguistic skills when I had been for six months, in 2006, in the United Kingdom in order to study English.
After my season in the UK, I had been in Morocco, North Africa for 2 years doing part of a volunteer internship in the NGO Across Maroc and because of this I also could learn French. During my time in North Africa I had part time freelance jobs as an interpreter because there were loads of tourist groups from Portugal to Morocco and it was the way to pay for my stay there.
I went back to Brazil in October/2008 because I wanted to build up my professional skills and I actually have a technician nursing certificate by Cruz Vermelha Brasileira(Brazilian Red Cross), I am finishing a geography teacher degree by Universidade estadual Vale do Acaraú and a bachelor in translation(English and French) by Federal University of Paraíba next December. I already have a professional experience as a translator by EXTRAD Project in the University. I had to translate different texts for the academic community in the University and I actually am in a Translational Competency Research Group by Federal University of Paraíba.
I expect to get an opportunity with your partnership because I appreciate to translate texts and it is a way to practice what I learned in my professional skills. I will be very thankful for the opportunity to show my abilities as a translator and I will give my best to be very professional. I appreciate professionalism in all things I do for my skills. I wish translate English, Spanish and French to my native language (Brazilian Portuguese).
Thank you so much guys if I get a chance to show my professional skills!
