I'm a world traveler who visited over 30 countries, I'm a computer programmer and I'm a native French-speaker.
Being a programmer, especially a Web programmer, in Canada means that you have to do everything in both French and English. I'm a native French-speaker who's fluent in English as well. I could translate into English too and the result would be better than average, but I prefer to limit myself to French for now.
I've travelled a lot around the world (Europe, Australia, North/Central/South America) and I've explored most regions of Latin America... so I also speak a very decent Spanish. I could translate from Spanish but not towards it. I can understand Portuguese, but not really talk it.
I'm also an amateur photographer, who has accumulated tens of thousands of pictures from various places I visited. I especially love making panoramic photos.
I have a university degree and my French is way above the regular people.
I have done many translation jobs, of various sizes, on various freelancer sites. I translated items listings for Amazon, legal documents, technical manuals (including one of almost 200 pages), and many other types.
I've also written 3 non-fiction books on my own in the past, on the themes of computer science, history/politics and music. A 4th is almost ready to launch (first in English, then in French and possibly Spanish), on the travel theme.
My expertise areas would be computer science, travel, photography, food, mathematics and many others.
I'll give a shot here at a few books and see how it goes.
Don't hesitate to contact me if needed.
