When I began writing in the last 1980s, I only wrote horror fiction. My first story was published in 1992 in a magazine called The Midnight Zoo. My first novel, Shara, was published 11 years later by (defunct) 3F Publications. I now have almost 40 books to my name and have branched out to include thrillers, fantasy, young adult, children's, a memoir, literary, and romance and erotica under pen names.
Besides writing books, I've worked as a machinist, a newspaper journalist, a public relations specialist, and recently retired after 17 years as an English teacher. I look forward to whatever the next stage of life will hold.
I've lived in Oklahoma all my life, though I've moved around within the state. I dream of someday living close enough to the ocean to be lulled by the relentless breathing of the sea against the shore. After being married for three decades, I am no divorced. I have four wonderful grown children and three (soon to be four) incredible grandsons. I live with two dogs and one cat who thinks she rules the world.
