Brazilian translator from English to Portuguese translator, seeking initial opportunities to enter the translation market. Interested in the areas of education, literature and games. I graduated with a degree in Language, which provided the necessary knowledge to understand the various situations in the school environment and the theories about teaching, as well as identify the nuances present in the English language and the literature world. About the game experience, I have been a gamer since I was a teenager, playing a diversity of games of different styles, such as cozy games and souls like games.
In order to increase my translation skills and my knowledge about the translation market, I am taking a course in translation, ‘Tradutor do Zero: como começar na tradução’ na plataforma de ‘Vida de tradutor’, which presents a study of translation theories and techniques, critical analysis of linguistics and cultural perspectives, and practical training in CAT tools in order to promote knowledge and mastery of them.
Therefore, I am looking to improve my translation skills to become a qualified professional, meeting deadlines, confidentiality and good interpersonal relationships. Having a good background in games and theories and experiences related to education, as well as knowledge of the English language, I aim to deliver a high-quality and coherent translation. I believe that my desire to improve as a person and professional, and to deliver projects on time and with quality, could contribute positively to authors and companies, promoting a healthy collaboration.
